First 12 minutes.

The body quickly absorbs Sildenafil and it’s found some men get an erection within 12 minutes of popping a viagra.

60 minutes.

An hour marks a crucial point with Sildenafil as after nearly 50 minutes have passed you’ll reach the “maximum erection potential”. This is when the drug reaches its highest concentration in the blood, which explains why doctors advise taking one an hour before sex. According to the study, men can have erections lasting up to 33 minutes within an hour of taking the drug.

Four hours.

It’s possible you may still be able to have sex, although the effects of the Sildenafil will be steadily reducing.

10 hours.

Even after 10 hours, scientists found men still could get an erection – and found it just as easy as it was two hours after dosing up.

12 hours.

It’s still possible to have sex, but with the average erection lasting…

16 Minutes

24/7

After one day the effects of Sildenafil will have worn off. Almost all traces of the drug disappear from the blood stream, along with any boost to sexual performance.

  1. I use Sildenafil and it works great. I usually only take 1/2 a pill unless I’m hooking up with someone. Then I take a whole one. My erections will be good into the next day. I love how hard it makes, even though I don’t need it to get hard. Cialis gives me headaches.

    1. Same for me. Usually a half tab does the trick. Or take whole pill if hoking up. Works pretty fast most times. And effected last a while
      Only side effect is headache

  2. Personally, I prefer cialis over viagra. I sometimes have performance anxiety and working against a ticking clock doesn’t help. I get better erections over a much longer time and even stay noticeably plump the next day or two. Going to the bathroom the next day and whipping out a thicker cock is a real confidence boost.

  3. I switched to Cyalis years ago. Much preferred as it lasts up to 36 hours so no worries that the clock is ticking… that only adds to performance anxiety. I asked doc for 20 mg pills and break them in half, works great and prescription lasts 2x as long 😉
Keep up the great work… website has been life changing

    1. Thanks for sharing your expereince Matthew. I note that Cyalis requires a prescription where Viagra doesn’t. So I guess a conversation with my GP would be the best thing to do. Thanks agan.

  4. That’s an impressive account of how Sildenafil works and the effect that can be hoped for. As a man at 62, slim and reasonably fit for my age, I have been wondering about whether to at least try it (Viagra). My erections aren’t as hard as they used to be, not long lasting and I would welcome the return of the firmness from earlier years…without a doubt!

But what about the other medication, tadalafil (branded Cyalis)? How does it compare to sildenafil? Has anyone here tried it?
